Below is the email sent to SMCC members in early May 2021.
Hello, everyone. Roger got word from the Southside Senior Center recently that we can start having our Friday meetings again. Please decide for yourself if you think it is safe to join the meetings. If you choose to play on Friday nights, you’ll need to sign an agreement to abide by the Senior Center’s Covid-19 precautions.
These include:
-Do not visit the Southside Senior Center if you have any symptoms of a contagious illness.
-Social distancing (arm’s length).
-Wearing a mask while inside the Southside Senior Center.
-Do not “harass, bully, or ridicule” anyone in the building for their beliefs or precautions for Covid.
Please be sure to read every line of the agreement yourself as my list doesn’t include everything in it. You can find the agreement attached in this email. You can print and sign it or I think Brian plans on bringing extra copies. We will need to get one of these agreements turned in for each participant.
Our first meeting back will be this Friday, May 7 at 7:00.
We also had the
MSU Over-the-Board Tournament recently. Thank you to Ethan Stech, Zac Schuh, and Brian Rude for recording Skype calls with me so they could explain some of their games and to Matt Pratt, who gave me a link to one of his YouTube videos which I also included.
